Pool Designs and Ideas
Cody Pools is the best choice you can make as your Houston pool construction company. Not only do we have two design showrooms in the Greater Houston area, but every pool we build starts with an in-home design consultation with one of our experienced and knowledgeable pool designers. Here are just a few ideas to consider for your Houston Texas pool.
FreeForm Pool – Use of a free form shape will allow you, along with input and guidance from our pool designers, to create a custom design for your pool. A free form style will provide a natural, organic look and blend in with the nature of your backyard. Free form pools also allow for incorporation of features such as tanning ledges, rock bridges, islands, beach entries, in-pool tables and chairs and so much more!

Geometric Pool – If you are looking for a pool that will provide for easy lap swimming a geometric pool may be the best option. Geometric pools are characterized as having a specific shape such as a rectangle, oval, or square with straight edges and sharp lines. They offer a more formal and contemporary feel and can be used to accentuate home architecture.

Vanishing Edge – A Vanishing Edge pool is a reflecting or swimming pool where the water flows over one or more edges, producing a visual effect of water with no boundary. Such pools are often designed so that the edge appears to merge with a larger body of water such as the ocean, or the sky.

Family Fun Features – Add even more family enjoyment to your pool with a fun future such as a built- in slide or in-pool table and chairs. Our pool designers can work with you to determine what features are best for your pool and family.

The competition is open to pool, spa or hot tub builders as well as installers, designers, retailers or service companies that receive payment for the submitted project. The judging panel is comprised of industry professionals along with representatives from related fields, including architecture and landscape design.

Pool Safety
Cody Pools along with the rest of us are concerned about the continuing issues with the COVID-19 virus and the challenges it creates for all of us. Cody Pools is proactively monitoring the ongoing COVID-19 situation and will continue to adhere to the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the U.S. National Institute of Health (NIH). We are also following the procedures from federal, state, and local officials.
Cody Pools is taking all necessary pre-cautions to maintain a healthy workplace and have implemented extra measures for the safety of our employees and customers.
The pool and spa industry has received specific information regarding COVID-19 and water transmission. The CDC assured us that no evidence has been linked to the COVID-19 spreading through water. We are sharing the information we have received directly from Pebble Technology International and the CDC. Please see below and reference the links for additional information.
The following content was provided by one of our top vendors, Pebble Technology.
The CDC has released guidance on COVID-19 and water transmission, including information on recreational water transmission. We encourage you to share this information with your organizations and others who may have questions about COVID-19 spreading through water.
Specifically, the CDC guidance states:
“There is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools and hot tubs. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g., with chlorine and bromine) of pools and hot tubs should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.”
This guidance and other water-related guidance can be found at www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/php/water.html. For more information about CDC’s recommendations for proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection of public pools, visit www.cdc.gov/healthywater/swimming/aquatics-professionals/operating-public-swimming-pools.html.
Our thoughts are with everyone who has been impacted by this outbreak so far. We will continue to update you as any additional CDC guidance related to recreational water and COVID-19 becomes available.
